Booking Digits for New 2017 Honda City Jumps To 14,000 in a Month Post Launch
Honda has disclosed more than four cars in the start of year. Though some of them will be seen in showrooms by end of the year but its one month old 2017 Honda City is flooded due to raining bookings.
The newly launch Honda City managed fetched 14,000 bookings, within a month after the launch and made glamorous entry in the Indian market.
The newly refreshed Honda City comes with 1.5 liter i-VTEC gasoline engine that holds the capacity of generating 118bhp and 145 Nm and 1.5-liter diesel engine i-DTEC produces 200Nm of torque and 99 bhp. The transmission system mated with the petrol engine comes with 5-speed manual as well as CVT transmission and diesel engine is integrated with 6-speed manual gearbox.
The new 2017 Honda City has some newly introduced features such as rear air conditioning vents, touch control panel, key less entry feature with smart key system, tilt-able and telescopic steering. Some of the additional features that beautify the outlooks of the car include LED headlamp with DRLs, exclusive spoiler with LED stop lamp, rear combi-lamp with LED, and automated mirror and sunroof.
The booking related information was revealed by by Yoichiro Ueno, Honda Cars India President and CEO, on the occasion of the global launch of Honda’s first ever compact SUV WR-V.
Honda also stated that its ZX variant is fetching attention of the majority of the buyers. The car is also launched in 5 different countries. The car is expected to give tough competition against Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Vento.
